ConsulTeams, officially incorporated earlier this year, is the brainchild of CEO Haresh Gangwani and COO David Cochran and seeks to become the go-to source for companies to connect with experts and consultants on a short-term scale.

Gangwani’s experiences working both with large companies and numerous start-ups made him realize each are susceptible to and in need of temporary, short-sharp consulting.

“I found that even large organizations have short-sharp delivery of insights that they are looking for, but not necessarily long-term project-based contract work,” Gangwani said. “Definitely small and medium businesses and entrepreneurs are looking for advice, opinions, insight, coaching and mentorship by experts, but cannot necessarily afford a large organization and would rather use what we call micro-consulting.”

His longtime friend since their days working in the computer systems division at Columbia House, Cochran made for a natural fit for what would ultimately become ConsulTeams due to his similar experiences to Gangwani’s.

“While I was finding that out through my engagement with companies, my buddy Dave was working as a consultant with large organizations and small operations,” Gangwani said. “He was experiencing the same thing — that companies don’t necessarily need long-term, project-based, contract-based people, but every now and then they want somebody smarter than themselves that they can brainstorm with.”

ConsulTeams aims for its software platform to be a one-stop shop for businesses to meet and be matched with vetted experts across various fields — technology, marketing and business management being the most popular, Gangwani said.

The company is currently in a beta stage before it plans to launch with a regional target area initially, before expanding nationally and then globally.
