Blue Horseshoe, a global software firm based in Carmel, is opening its first international office in Amsterdam this month.

The company, which specializes in supply chain and logistics solutions, said in a release that the move is prompted by the firm’s growing demand in Europe for software solutions and expertise in logistics planning and implementation for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3.

“Companies utilize Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP to handle the collection, storage, management and interpretation of data for financials, production, inventory, marketing and distribution of products and services,” according to the release. “Effectively collecting and processing this information can help eliminate waste, increase efficiency and boost profits of business clients served by Blue Horseshoe.”

Blue Horseshoe has more than 150 employees focused on its Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP practice and those employees work in Carmel, IN; Columbus, OH; Denver, CO; and Charlotte, NC.

“We are growing very quickly on an international level, currently supporting customers in more than 15 different countries,” said Chris Cason, president of Blue Horseshoe. “Our business has grown immensely as we have focused heavily on Dynamics AX over the last five years.”

Blue Horseshoe was founded in 2001 and its headquarters are located at 11590 N. Meridian Street. One of its founders, Kevin Paul, is well known as the owner of Danny Boy Brewery and Brockway Public House.
