After co-writing “Uncommon: Common Sense but Uncommon Knowledge from Today’s Leading Entrepreneurs and Professionals to Help You Lead an Extraordinary Life of Health, Wealth and Success” with other business experts including Brian Tracy, Rodney Jones’ book hit number 16 on the Amazon top seller list for books in sales and marketing.

On July 3, he held a book signing at Old National Bank from 3 to 5 p.m. in Clay Terrace.

It was and is his only book signing, he said, until his next book comes out in October titled “Above the Curve.”

“The idea to write (UNcommon) came from 25 years where I’ve accumulated so much knowledge and trained so many professionals,” Jones said. “The opportunity came to put that knowledge on paper so that’s what I did and it’s worked out very well.”

Jones helps individuals and small business owners find money they are unknowingly and unnecessarily transferring away. He helps them bring that money back to the table to be used for better things.

However, reaching the bestseller list is not the only uncommon thing about Jones. All of his royalties go to charities.

And although his book can be distributed through bookstores, he isn’t sure if he should do that yet as his royalties to charities would change.

“My wife and I get to go out to Hollywood (Sept. 23 through 25) and receive the Quilly Award for being a top seller on Amazon,” Jones said. “They announce what charities the money will go to and how much will be awarded.”

Anyone interested in buying his book can purchase it through Amazon.
