According to Lt. Joe Bickel of the Carmel Police Dept., the Communication Workers Association group is protesting in Carmel, not a group of construction workers.
“We are not involved in the CWA protest,” stated Bickel. “They are peacefully protesting wage issues, etc. on Main St/ 4th Ave S.W. and in front of the AT& T building on 3rd Ave S.W. near 2nd Street S.W.”
Bickel said the police department has not received any calls of complaint over the protest.
