Westfield woman charged with stabbing boyfriend

CIW-COM-Stabbing HuntPolice were called to a Westfield home where a man was stabbed by his fiancé early this morning.

At 12:56 a.m. Jan. 25, officers went to the 200 block of Highwood Drive in reference to a stabbing that stemmed from a domestic disturbance.

According to WPD Sgt. Robert Dine, officers found a white male with a non-life threatening puncture wound to the shoulder. He was transported to the hospital and later released.

Dine said reports were that the two were arguing before Hunt allegedly stabbed the victim once.

Amanda Hunt, 25, was taken to the Westfield Police Dept. to be interviewed and was transported to the Hamilton County Jail. Hunt has been charged with battery with a deadly weapon, a Level 5 felony; criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, a Level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor. She is being held on $17,500 bond.
