After a night of heavy snowfall, on Jan. 6 Zionsville town officials are saying that all is well on the snowy front.

“We are quite prepared this winter,” said Supt. of the Street and Stormwater Dept. Lance Lantz.  “And although this is the first major snow event this year, it is fairly routine for us.”

Lantz said the town has 1,200 tons of salt reserved for the roads this season, and approximately 350 tons on-hand.

“We have seven salt/plow trucks and six pickups with plows for a grand total of 13,” he said.
