Update on the motor vehicle accident with entrapment in Zionsville

On Dec. 9, Boone County Fire Dispatchers received a call for a motor vehicle accident with reports of patient being trapped. Upon arrival units found a single SUV inverted against the guard rail with one occupant.

Crews were able to free the driver from the vehicle within 10-minutes. The driver of the SUV was transported to St. Vincent Hospital by ambulance in good condition.  I-865 EB travel was restricted down to one lane during this incident. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation at this time.

The Zionsville Fire Department, Zionsville Police Department, Whitestown Fire Department and Indiana State Police all responded to the scene.
