On Sept. 6, Westfield residents had the chance to meet those responsible for the well-being of the community at the annual Westfield Safety Festival at Village Park Plaza. The event included live demonstrations, vehicles on display, vendors, prizes and numerous fire fighters and police officers. St. Franciscan provided an area for children’s activities and wellness and safety-related topics. “This is a fun opportunity for families to get a better understanding of what we do and how we do things in a non-emergency situation,” said Garry Harling, WFD division chief.
