Sarah “Sally” Sauer, 89, of Noblesville, died Aug. 20, 2014 at Riverview Health in Noblesville. Born July 6, 1925 in Battle Creek, Mich., she was the daughter of Lee and Esther (Morey) Hain.
She earned her bachelor of science degree from Purdue University in 1947 and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Noblesville, where she was active in the ladies group. She was formerly of Downers Grove, Ill., and loved to play bridge. She was involved with A.A.U.W., Newcomers, and Welcome Wagon over the years.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Robert L. Sauer; sons, David Sauer, Roger Sauer and Philip Sauer; and grandson, Neil Sauer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Gardner.
