Former Carmel resident Mary Lee Gill is bringing her wit and humor to Morty’s Comedy Joint, 3625 East 96th Street, Indianapolis, Sept. 3. The 80+-year-old Orlando, FL, humorist shares her observations on life from senior citizen side of the age spectrum.

And, now that she’s finally decided what she wants to do when she grows up she’s starting a petition drive “Dave, you are checking out . . . and so is Mary Lee Gill. You are the last thing on her bucket list” to see if a fellow Hoosier will give her a chance to appear on “Late Night.”

Gill has performed at SAK Comedy Lab, one of Orlando’s most popular entertainment venues and the first theater of actor Wayne Brady. She is a motivational speaker throughout the central Florida area and winner of numerous local, district, regional and state speaking competitions.

Her comedy can be seen at YouTube: Mary Lee Gill, Hip, Hip, Hurray. If you can’t attend the show to sign her petition, but want to see her on the Late Show, you can send a message to www.facebook.com/Letterman.
