Although for some people a controversial affair, the Big Top Lounge, is making it’s debut during the circus-themed Zionsville Lions Club Fall Festival this year.

With music, food and beverages, this tented area is for party-goers age 21 and older.

“Some Lions Club members didn’t like the idea of serving beverage at Fall Fest,” said Lions Club member Leigh Ann Akard. “But overall it’s really fun and it actually keeps parents and guardians in the park to help supervise their kids.”

Akard said that parents will be able to sit in the lounge while their pre-teens and teenagers enjoy the Saturday night LeoPalooza event at the gazebo.

There will be live music, including the locally-favorite band, Last Call.

In lieu of a cover charge for the big tent, donations to the Lions Club will be accepted at the entrance.

Drinks and festivities begin at 5 p.m., Sept. 6. Live music will begin at 7 p.m.
