How the Indy Express Bus works

The bus departs park-and-ride lots in Fishers and Carmel on weekday mornings and travels nonstop to downtown Indianapolis, where it stops at nine locations. At the end of the day, it picks up at the same locations and arrives back at the park-and-ride lots.

Riders enjoy the services for a number of reasons. Some like to use the free Wi-Fi and work while they commute, others like to save money and still others like to leave the driving to someone else.

Fare for the Indy Express Bus is $5 one way and can be paid to the driver in cash. Single-trip, 10-trip ($50) or $150 calendar-month unlimited trip passes can be purchased online. For passes, routes and timetables, visit www.indyexpressbus.com.

CIRTA operates five commuter services during peak commuting times on weekdays: the Indy Express Bus between Fishers and downtown, Indy Express Bus between Carmel and downtown, the West Carmel Connector, the Carmel Connector and the Plainfield Connector. The connectors provide service for people working in West Carmel, Carmel and Plainfield from IndyGo route termination points. For general information, visit www.cirta.usor call 317-327-RIDE.
