Martha Alwilda (Lehr) Wood, 95, of Noblesville, died Aug. 7, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born April 27, 1919 in Noblesville, she was the daughter of Harry and June (Passwater) Lehr.

She was a 1938 graduate of Noblesville High School. She worked at Kenley Supermarket, and later as a cook for Durbin School. She was a life-long member of Clarksville Christian Church where she was very active with the Christian Womens Fellowship. She enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball and basketball. She loved Jim Dandy Restaurant and enjoyed traveling to Florida.

Survivors include her daughters, Alwilda (David) Dugger, Liz (Otto) Berlin and Cindy Jones; son, James L. (Jeneva) Wood II; 11 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death in 2011 by her husband of 72 years, James L. Wood; and seven siblings.

Funeral services were held Aug. 11 at Clarksville Christian Church, 16600 Lehr St., Noblesville, with the Rev. Steve Fair officiating. Burial followed at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
