The Carmel International Arts Festival Board is proud to announce that the Hoosier Salon will be hosting the exhibit of Carmel High School and University High School students’ artwork this year in the Salon’s new home located at 22 N. Range Line Road.  Carmel’s International Arts Festival will take place in the Arts and Design District on Saturday, September 27, from 10 AM through 6 PM and Sunday, September 28, from 10 AM through 5 PM.

The Hoosier Salon is a statewide nonprofit arts organization that began in 1925 whose mission is to create an appreciation of visual art by promoting Hoosier artists and their art.

In the High School exhibit at the Salon, artists from both schools will present their original paintings and drawings produced in Introductory, Advanced, and AP classes. They will also showcase ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, bookbinding, and digital and film photography in this annual juried competition.

The high school artists’ exhibition is one of the most popular at the Festival.   The Carmel International Festival Board will award Scholarships for the art juried as Best in Show.  Additional awards will be presented for the art juried as Best in Medium.  Ribbons will identify the judge’s choices on Sunday, September 29.
