David “Les” Gerber, 89, of Noblesville, died Aug. 13, 2014 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton. Born Feb. 7, 1925 in Noblesville, he was the son of David and Dessie (Cook) Gerber.

For 30 years, he was a carpenter for contractor John Fisher, and was then self-employed. He was an avid fisherman and liked to gamble.

Survivors include his daughters, Tammy Eller and Roxanne Gerber; son, Ron (Deborah) Gerber; brothers, Larry Gerber and Doug Gerber; and grandsons, Jeff, Matt and Mike Gerber, Travis Leeman and Alex Heffelmire.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta L. Gerber; and siblings, Bill and Mac Gerber, Betty McNally and Ruth King.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 15 at Crownland Cemetery, 1776 Monument St., Noblesville, with the Rev. Rick Huffman officiating.
