James Albert Glover, 71, of Noblesville, died June 19, 2014 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. Born June 13, 1943 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Donald and Marjorie (Abel) Glover.

He proudly served in the United States Navy. He was a Noblesville Police Officer, retiring after 25 years, and was a Noblesville City Court Bailiff for 14 years. He was a member of Hamilton County FOP Lodge No. 103, and loved to bowl and fish. He loved his grandchildren, his friends, and life.

Survivors include his wife, Joann Glover; daughters, Debbie Glover, Lisa Glover and Tina (Jayson) Williams; son, Jerry (Alicia) Powell Jr.; grandchildren, Hayley and Jayden Williams, Garth and Brenna Powell, Brice and Baylee, and Michael Waymon; great-grandchild, Noah Waymon; brothers, Jack (Patty) Glover and Don (Jane) Glover; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Danny and Judy Weaver, and Harry and Shirley Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held June 23 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Rd., Noblesville, with chaplain Dave Nicholson officiating. Burial followed at Cicero Cemetery.
