On June 7, the Westfield Parks Dept. hosted a free Bike Rodeo program to ensure its youngest residents are safe while traveling on their bicycles at Quaker Park, 17501 Dartown Rd. Aimed at ages 6 to 12 and their families, the event was to teach safety, health, and fitness while celebrating National Trails Day. In addition to raffle prizes, Carmel Cyclery checked for proper helmet fitting and offered bike inspections and the Westfield Police Dept. provided information on safety as it applies to roads, trails and sidewalks.
