Why did you become a teacher? After teaching tennis to children in the summers during high school, I realized how much I enjoyed working with kids.

What goals do you have for your students? My main goal is to teach my students to work hard in all they do. Hard work will help them reach their goals for the rest of their lives.

What do you encourage parents to do at home to help their children strengthen particular skills? Read to, with, and in front of your children to build a life-long love of reading.

What is your favorite movie? Grumpy Old Men

Who is your favorite musician or band? John Mellencamp

What’s something your students might not know about you? When my high school tennis team won state, we got to ride on top of a fire truck back to the high school. It was both scary and exhilarating. You’d be amazed how close your head is to hitting the stop lights while sitting on top of a moving fire truck.
