The city of Carmel announced that Prairie View Golf Club has been selected as the host site of the IHSAA Boys and Girls State Golf Championships for the next five years.
The first girls championship will be conducted Oct. 3 and Oct. 4. The first boys championship will be June 2015.
These championships bring nearly about 1,000 people for each event and should be a good economic opportunity for Carmel’s hotels, restaurants and other attractions.
