Construction continues on Eighth Street in front of the Hamilton County Judicial Center.

The intersection of Logan and Eighth streets will close beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday, April 9. This is part of the project between the City of Noblesville, INDOT and the Hoosier Heritage Port Authority to replace the railroad tracks on a portion of Eighth Street from just south of Conner Street/Ind. 32 to just north of Logan Street.

The railroad tracks are being taken up so that the concrete pads can be removed and replaced, and then new tracks will be installed. The first temporary closure for this project was the intersection of Eighth Street and Ind. 32/Conner Street. This portion of the project was completed ahead of schedule which now allows construction crews to begin work earlier than anticipated on the Eighth and Logan streets intersection.

The intersection is expected to reopen on April 23. If work progresses more quickly than anticipated, then it will be reopened once the construction is complete. The section of Eighth Street in front of the Hamilton County Judicial Center will remain closed until the conclusion of this project.
