Maurine Adele Beach, 85, of Carmel, died Feb. 17, 2014.
She was born Dec. 17, 1928, in Chicago to the late Gladis R. and Florence (Crews) Simpson.
Maurine was a proud graduate of the Carmel High School class of 1946 and attended Purdue University before marrying Stanley B. Beach on Dec. 22, 1950.
Maurine partnered with her husband Stanley on many business ventures in Carmel and Indianapolis while working at Eli Lilly, from which she retired in 1990.
Maurine is survived by a son, Rex A. Beach and his wife, Julie (Wilson), of Carmel; a daughter, Sandra (Earl) Hubbard of Indianapolis; a brother, Marion (Margaret) Simpson of Indianapolis; and three grandchildren, Lauren Hubbard, Emma Beach and Haley Beach.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Beach, in 1976; her parents; and two brothers, Warren B. Simpson and Earl P. Simpson.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Feb. 24 at Carmel Friends Church, 651 W. Main St. in Carmel. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m Feb. 23 at Leppert Mortuary-Carmel. Burial will be at Carmel Cemetery.
