Zionsville Village and Main Street also badly need public restrooms. Fall Festival, Street Dance, Christmas Parade, etc. generate traffic of thousands of people but Zionsville has no public restrooms on or near Main Street. The local Chamber says use merchants or restaurant restrooms which is so short sighted. Carmel and Nashville IN both provide nice public restrooms in their tourist areas.
The Chamber puts up port-a-potties for major events but that too is ill advised. Who wants to use one of those? Let’s invest in Zionsville Main Street retailing and tourism with some quality public restrooms on Main Street. The owners of real estate on Main Street pay huge property taxes. Let’s show initiative and provide local and out-of-town patrons with the convenience of quality, clean public restrooms on Main Street.
