Featured speaker Gary Wright will be preaching the unsearchable riches of Christ at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 25 through 27 at Hinkle Creek Friends Church, 216th Street and Hinkle Road, Noblesville. Music will be provided by the contemporary Christian band, Renewal.

Wright is the founder and president of World Renewal International, a church planting mission organization headquartered in Greenfield. WRI has a staff presence in more than 20 countries and has served in over 50 countries. Gary grew up in Indiana where he became an appointed evangelist in 1973 and is presently an appointed evangelist for Evangelical Friends Churches of Eastern Region. He served Chairman of Pastoral Ministries on the faculty of Barclay College (1986-1990) and along with wife, Carol, founded and serves as the Site-Managers and faculty of the Barclay College Extension (2010-Present), Greenfield. He also serves on the teaching staff of Brandywine Community Church, Greenfield.

The contemporary Christian band, Renewal, began in 1990 with Doug Newnum and Gary Wright. The band has traveled throughout the USA and various countries leading worship in multi-church outreach events, conferences, and churches and performing concerts. They are known for their full instrumental sound, passion, energy and heartfelt ministry.

‘Gonna Give Him Praise” is one of their most requested songs and features so many instruments which usually leads to a joyous time of thanksgiving to God. Doug Newnum has been the lead singer but now shares some of that role with Steve and Mike Cruse who joined the group in recent years. Most of the band members have been a part of Renewal for over a decade. Newnum’s new song “Where would I be without Jesus in my life?” comes right out of his own life as a dad and husband. Doug Newnum says, “We really enjoy performing together and doing concerts, but what we enjoy most is seeing people’s lives changed by the Lord Jesus Christ. We have done this long enough (23 years) that we now meet people and their families whose lives have been changed by hearing our message of Christ.”

The bands worship tune “Giving my Best” has been in Billboards top 50 on the Country Charts.
