‘Who left you in charge?’

Dear Editor,

With all of the real issues – like poverty and hunger and homelessness – affecting central Indiana and our nation, you chose to write your vapid column about a conjectural Clinton presidency. Who died and left you in charge of determining what may or not be best for our nation?

You are right in saying that “substance has been kicked to the curb” – excepting that it is not evidenced by the reelection of Obama but, rather, by the continued existence of your publication.

To be sure, Carmel deserves a serious newspaper dedicated to the genuine and weighty issues of the day. Perhaps sparing us your inane pontifications will free up additional time that you could both devote to this worthy enterprise.

Sincerely,

Tom Simeon
