Sustain Noblesville hosted its inaugural Earth Day ArborFest to celebrate the community, its trees, the earth and ways to improve and properly care for them on April 26 and 27. Day 2’s activities were held at Shelter No. 5 in Forest Park. Shankland said highlights from Day 2 include free seedlings, planting and pruning information, 15 local environmental exhibitors, Duke Energy’s “liveliness” safety program, an electric car from Hare Chevrolet, tree hikes with Urban Forester Paul Lindeman and kids’ activities like a recycle relay.
