Westfield’s Jesse Pohlman has been named the new president of the Meals on Wheels of Hamilton County board of directors. Other new executive members appointed to the board include vice president Lindsay Sweet of First Merchant’s Bank, secretary Rosalyn Demaree of Indiana Artisans and treasurer Bryan Miller of Star Bank.Governed by volunteers, Meals on Wheels of Hamilton County receives no state or federal funding and relies solely on the generous support of donors, sponsors, fundraising events and grants. Each board member serves a three-year term.

In an effort to raise awareness and gain new clients and volunteers, Meals on Wheels of Hamilton County has launched new branding with a fresh logo, website and Facebook and Twitter accounts. “It was important that our new branding evoke a sense of movement and reflect the fact that we’re driving compassion as we move the organization forward,” said Beth Gehlhausen, executive director of Meals on Wheels of Hamilton County.

Meals on Wheels of Hamilton County provides meal delivery to elderly, disabled and homebound residents, regardless of age or income, reducing hunger, improving health and promoting independence. Its primary goal is to help our clients live independently for as long as possible. Meals on Wheels of Hamilton County now serves more than 190 clients on 17 routes, daily. Volunteers compassionately deliver more than 55,000 meals each year to clients in all eight communities of Hamilton County.
