Community Regional Cancer Center-North, located on the Community Hospital North campus, has extended its hours to better meet the needs of patients. This move will allow patients more flexibility when scheduling appointments and improve access to oncology/hematology services. New hours are 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Sumeet Bhatia, M.D., who is board certified in oncology, hematology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, said the change in hours is a matter of patient convenience.

“Our new evening hours will allow patients to receive treatment without having to miss a lot of work.” Bhatia said, adding the center is also looking at extending weekend hours. “Accessibility is the right step in putting our patients first.”
