Two Noblesville residents were arrested Jan. 23 for dealing in heroin.

Members of the Hamilton/Boone County Drug Task Force arrested Matthew Falin, 29, and his 23-year-old girlfriend, Samantha Smythe, for dealing in heroin. The arrests followed a three-month investigation into the sale and use of Heroin in Hamilton County.

Falin has been preliminarily charged with two counts of dealing heroin, a Class B felony, and one count of possession of heroin, a Class D felony. Smythe was charged with one count of dealing heroin, a Class B felony, and one count of possession of heroin, a Class D felony.

A Class B felony carries a penalty upon conviction of a fixed term between six and 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. A Class D felony conviction carries a penalty of six months to three years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.

Both were taken into custody on Town and Country Drive in Noblesville and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident. The Task Force expects more arrests in connection with this investigation. Anyone wishing to leave an anonymous drug tip may call 571-2545.
