Artomobillia … Awesome!

Yes, the roads closed early and yes, I lost business, but there were people everywhere having a blast. Good food, cool cars, atmosphere and a smell of happy and positive people onMain St.

This event works and is done well, and is a relief not to complain about for once; but I didn’t see the regular Arts & Design District crew out there fumbling about like a chicken two minutes from the oven. The volunteers were the best I’ve seen in any event. Hats off to them. The number of people stopping in the Main Street Barber Shop made up for the lack of business and it was exciting to tell our history too, what a great crowd of people.

This is the best event, period: good barbeque, cold beer, and all we needed was a raffle and a dunk tank with temporary tattoos for the kids from Carmel Ink! In fact, lots of businesses could benefit from this and get noticed. You can see some of the pictures on the Main Street Barber Shop Facebook – just friend us. I actually got an email from the CRC with road closures and I posted it on Facebook to let people be prepared.

I’m a crabby man with four kids, so if I’m impressed hopefully you will be too when you attend next year’s best event!
