College Avenue Closure south of 116th Street

College Avenue, between 111^th and 116^th, will be closed for approximately three weeks beginning Friday, March 30, 2012. Traffic will be restricted to local traffic only just north of the Central Park entrance. The College Avenue entrance to Central Park can be accessed from the south via 111^th Street.

This closure is necessary to install a water main underneath 116^th Street. Due to the location of existing utilities and public safety concerns, Carmel Utilities has found it necessary to close College Avenue.  The closure is timed to begin as Carmel Public Schools begins its spring break in order to minimize the disruption of traffic. Every effort will be made to open up College Avenue as quickly as possible. However, the reopen date has not been determined at this time.
