The American Legion’s annual Charity Golf Tournament will be held at Brookshire Golf Course this year and Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard will serve as Honorary Chair of the 24th annual event on Friday, July 24 at 11 a.m.

“I am very proud to be part of this charitable tradition that is hosted by one of our most important service organizations for veterans but is open to all residents, including non-members of the American Legion. I hope you will join us at Brookshire,” said Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard.

There are still openings for the tournament, which will include 18 holes and begin with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. Friday, July 24. The event will include cash prizes for the winning teams, a putting contest, lunch on the course, dinner at the Post, including silent and live auctions and a complimentary cocktail hour.

Participants can register as a foursome for $500 or as an individual for $125. There are also opportunities for sponsorships for the event. The charity outing has raised more than $500,000 in donations to a variety of beneficiaries. This year’s charities will include the Indiana Veterans Home, the Hoosier Veterans Assistance Fund and Carmel’s own Post 155 Scholarship Fund.
