Vandalism leads to two arrests

Moore, TimothyDeputies from the Hamilton Co. Sheriff’s Office have arrested two in connection with a criminal mischief and vandalism case from March at a home under construction in west Noblesville.

Deputies were first called to the new home construction site in the 16300 block of Gray Road back in March when the construction contractor discovered damage done inside the home.

Police said more vandalism occurred later in the spring with a total estimated damage of more than $50,000. Vandalism included damage to walls, cabinets and flooring,  as well damage to construction equipment.

Timothy Austin Moore, 18, Westfield, was arrested May 10 and has been initially charged with burglary, a Level 5 felony, and criminal mischief, a Level 6 felony.

Moore was booked into the Hamilton Co. Jail the same day of his arrest and was later released on a $15,000 bond.

Also arrested and charged with burglary and criminal mischief in connection with the case was a 16-year-old juvenile male. Juvenile suspects’ names are not released to the public.

In a statement released by the Hamilton Co. Sheriff’s Office, investigators say they are appreciative of the partnership with the public, as solving the case was assisted by several citizens who came forward with information concerning the vandalism.
