Snapshot: First responders honored at Witham

On Nov. 13, Witham Health Services presented the Witham Society Angel Award for outstanding community service to three EMTs and one paramedic for saving a man’s life under difficult conditions. The incident for which the first responders were honored involved Thorntown resident and farmer Lloyd Hayden, who lost both legs below the knee when a combine hit him Oct. 22.
