Anna’s take: Charleston’s is a long-standing restaurant off 146th Street in Carmel, and the best thing about it (besides the delicious menu items) is consistency. Charleston’s has consistently offered high-quality meals for several years. When you visit, you know you will receive great service and great eats. My favorite item was roasted prime rib. I know that sounds like a simple dish, but Charleston’s really makes it incredible. It’s so tender you can cut it with a butter knife. Also be sure to try the famous baked potato soup ($6), the shrimp cargot ($14), or the original chicken tender platter ($17). Charleston’s has several delicious salads for those seeking healthier options, such as the Walt’s Champagne Chicken Salad, which includes fruits and vegetables. For an excellent finish, order Adam’s cheesecake ($9), a beautifully light and fluffy take on cheesecake that’s made in-house.
