With less than half of the total school population attending in-person each day, students have room to spread out in classrooms.

Many Carmel High School students attended their first day of in-person classes Aug. 13. The high school is using a hybrid model of in-person and virtual learning, so only half of the students attended in-person the first day. Approximately 20 percent of Carmel Clay Schools students are attending virtual school every day. The last time the building held in-person classes was March 13, before the school shut down to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. (Photos by Ann Marie Shambaugh)
