Mike G’s take: Another gem in the Keystone area, the Ironworks plaza has a variety of good places to eat serving different types of cuisine. Recognized as one of the best Italian restaurants in Indianapolis by some national publications, I must say that the ambience and delicious food, drinks and dessert makes me agree.
What I tried: When it comes to Italian food, my favorite thing is pasta, any kind. I tried two of the restaurant’s signature seafood pastas. The first was the Linguini Con Vongole ($18), which is linguini sautéed with baby clams and peeled tomatoes in a spicy white wine butter sauce. Then I tried the amazing Linguini Frutti Di Mare ($21), linguini tossed with huge shrimp, great portions of calamari, mussels and clams in one of the best tasting sauces I have ever had — an amazing spicy garlic white wine tomato sauce. The cool thing about trying both dishes is that the Fruitti Di Mare is started with the based sauce from the Con Vongole. To wrap things up, I enjoyed a remarkable tiramisu that had all the right layers of cake and cream.
Popular menu items: The restaurant prides itself on serving authentic Italian, offering a full menu of delicious, high-quality meals. Popular menu items depend on the day. Pasta’s range from $15 to $21. Bottled wine is half off on Mondays.
