When is it OK to set off fireworks in Noblesville?

Fireworks keeping you awake? Here’s what’s legal in Noblesville.

City of Noblesville Ordinance No. 50-10-09 states that consumer fireworks may only be used in the Noblesville city limits during the following days and times:

The ordinance also states that a citizen may only shoot off fireworks on his or her private property. Fireworks on streets, in parks, etc., are illegal.

Violations of the ordinance within city limits can be reported to the dispatch center’s non-emergency line at 317-773-1300 at any time.

Statewide, Indiana law also says fireworks must be used on personal property or on someone’s property where consent has been given. Every other day of the year, state law allows fireworks to be used between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m., except for holidays like Memorial Day, Labor Day and New Year’s Eve lengthens the allowed time to midnight. Near Independence Day, state laws are the same as Noblesville’s ordinance.
