Snapshot: Miss Indiana 2017

Miss Metropolitan Haley Begay was crowned Miss Indiana 2017. Begay, 19, of Pittsboro, attends Indiana University, where she majors in journalism and Spanish. Her personal platform is “Don't Silence the Violence: Domestic Violence Awareness.” Her talent is a vocal performance of “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen. Additionally, she won preliminary awards in Interview, Talent and Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit. She will represent Indiana at Miss America in Atlantic City, N.J. in September. (Submitted photo)
