Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre has announced that open call auditions will take place in March for roles in several of its 2017 Season productions.
Open call auditions will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., March 13 at Beef & Boards, 9301 Michigan Rd., Indianapolis, with a dance callback at approximately 6:30 p.m. Those auditioning should prepare 16-24 bars of two contrasting vocal selections, with sheet music in the correct key, and be prepared to deliver a monologue or read from a side, if asked. Auditioners need to bring a recent 8×10 photo and updated resume, and should dress in appropriate clothing. Availability is required for all rehearsals and all performances. Roles are available in:
- “Shrek, the Musical” – Rehearsals start May 6. Show dates are May 18 – July 2.
- “West Side Story” – Rehearsals start Aug. 5. Show dates are Aug. 17 – Oct. 1.
- “Ghost” – Rehearsals start Sept. 23. Show dates are Oct. 5 – Nov. 19.
- “A Beef & Boards Christmas 2017” – Rehearsals start Nov. 9. Show dates are Nov. 24 – Dec. 23.
A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed no less than two weeks prior to the start of rehearsal. Regardless of the schedule, all cast members are expected to be available during regular rehearsal hours.
