The inaugural Make it Personal Drive, conducted by the Fishers City Government Academy Alumni Group, brought in more than 800 pounds of personal care items as well as cash, checks and gift cards for the Fall Creek and Delaware Townships pantries.

Personal care items were chosen for the group’s collection drive because they are often requested by township pantry clients but seldom received among donations. The residents of Britton Falls filled six donation boxes alone.

The group plans to repeat the drive next year and make it an annual occurrence.
