There’s lots to do this weekend in downtown Noblesville and the surrounding area. The following eight events are free or require no admission.
THURSDAY, JUNE 2
- The Noblesville Summer Concert Series kicks off with Seth Bradley at Dr. James Dillon Park, 6351 Midland Lane, from 7 to 9 p.m. In addition to food vendors, Scotty’s Brewhouse will have a beer garden for guests age 21 and older. FRIDAY, JUNE 3
- The Sixth Annual Noblesville Bed Race will begin at 7 p.m. downtown with teams competing on Ninth Street for the trophy and prizes. The double-elimination contest involves racing custom-designed beds on wheels while raising money for financial-need scholarships for summer-camp programming for area youth. New this year, a mobile website (www.noblesvillebedrace.com) was built for the event to provide live brackets, attendee voting, social media posts and more for fans to stay up-to-date. - The Noblesville Lions Club will host its annual Pork Chop BBQ fundraiser on the courthouse square in downtown Noblesville. Food will be served all day from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
SATURDAY, JUNE 4
- As part of National Trails Day, the parks department will be hosting a scavenger hunt inside Forest Park from 2 to 4 p.m. Scavenger hunt forms will be available at the blue park tent near shelters No. 3 and No. 5. For more, visit www.noblesvilleparks.org, or call 317-770-5750.

- The twice-a-year Old Mill Festival returns for its summer implementation from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the downtown square. Dozens of artisans and dealers from Hamilton County and the surrounding areas will be participating in this festival, which includes quality handcrafted items, antiques, vintage and fine collectibles, vintage accessories, antique furniture and primitives, upcycled products including fine art and art of all mediums.
- The Noblesville Farmers Market began May 7 and returns to the Riverview Health Hospital overflow lot at 395 Westfield Rd. each Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon through Oct. 15.
SUNDAY, JUNE 5
- Noblesville Parks Naturalist Karen LeMere will assist anglers as the city participates in the Dept. of Natural Resources’ Free Fishing Day. Noblesville Parks will have 30 poles available for use on a first-come, first-serve basis. The free fishing, which does not require a license, is available from 9 a.m. to noon at the Hague Road Nature Haven, with the main entrance off Hague Road between Ind. 38 and Ind. 32.
