ATF offering reward for robbery information

Investigators with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives as well as the City of Lawrence Police Dept. continue to seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two individuals suspected to be responsible for three separate armed robberies of the Kemba Credit Union located at 5625 Sunnyside Rd. in Lawrence.

ATF officials are now offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of the pair of individuals.

The most recent robberies occurred Feb. 24 and Feb. 2, with a previous robbery taking place in June 2015 suspected to be related to the recent robberies as all three have seen suspects use the same methods.

The suspects wore clothing covering themselves from head to toe, making identification from photos and videos difficult. ATF and LPD official are asking anyone with information concerning the individuals responsible for these robberies is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (317) 262-TIPS.
