Real estate broker Helen Metken doesn’t try to contain her excitement about opening a Westfield brokerage office.

“Westfield is an amazing market, and it is poised to be the next center of growth for our housing that becomes available in the next few years,” Metken said. “Westfield is poised for great things to come with the opening of Grand Park last year and the Grand Junction Plaza downtown.”

Metken, a Carmel resident, has joined with Re/Max Integra to open the brokerage office that will be called Re/Max Ascent.

Re/Max Ascent will likely open in early spring, Metken said, adding that the contract is not yet signed on the space, but should be soon.

“To have a new space in Westfield is huge,” Metken said. “We have so few agents working in Westfield. I think at last count, it’s less than 35 agents out of 1,500 in Hamilton County. That’s crazy when you think about the growth and how many people live there.”

In her 10th year in the real estate business, Metken previously worked for F.C. Tucker Co.

“I lived and worked in this region for my entire career,” Metken said. “Real estate is such that we go where our clients take us. I’ve lived in Hamilton County for 17 years, so I know a whole lot of people here.”

Metken was elected to a three-year term as a regional director for the Indiana Association of Realtors in October. She is a district director with the board of directors for the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors. She was presented in 2014 with Hamilton Co. Division of MIBOR’s Realtor of the Year award.

“Helen’s level of professionalism and understanding of marketing are a perfect fit for Re/Max Integra,” said Stacey Gillen, director of regional operations at Re/Max Integra, Midwest. “We’re excited to watch her grow and succeed with her clients while working with local realtors who are looking for new opportunities to grow their own real estate business.”
