Joan A. Mitchell, 85, Noblesville, died Dec. 27 at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville. She was born Jan. 26, 1930 to Ora and Gertrude (Collier) Stewart in Martinsville, Ind.
Joan was retired from Deluxe Check Printers after 31 years of service. She was a member of the Signa Corp German Club Choir in Indianapolis and enjoyed quilting, crocheting and making stained glass.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheila A. (Mike) McLane; her son, Rick Stanley; grandchildren, Susie Steele, Todd Stanley and Cameron McLane; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter L. Mitchell who died 1994; grandson, Mike McLane II in 2001; two brothers; and seven sisters.
