curiosityfar

More than 4,000 festival goers are expected at Conner Prairie this weekend for its third annual Curiosity Fair.

Presented by Dow AgroSciences with support from Kroger, Curiosity Fair runs from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The festival is free for Conner Prairie members and is included with paid general admission to Conner Prairie. Parking is free.

The festival allows guests of all ages to explore science, engineering and technology through interactive exhibits, activities and hands-on demonstrations hosted by industry professionals.

New this year, the Smithsonian Institution’s Places of Invention affiliates project will guide guests through what it takes to build a pipeline from Kokomo to Chicago with its Indiana Gas Boom activity. Guests will experiment with robots, learn how cheese and ice cream are made with a mobile dairy classroom with live cows, ride strange bicycles, perform circus activities and much more.

Companies that will host activities and lead demonstrations include Eli Lilly and Co., Indianapolis Engineering for Kids, IndianaFirst Robotics, Purdue University, Bloomington Symphony Orchestra, Vectren and the Indiana Humanities Council.
