During Passport to Hi-Tech at Conner Prairie, kids deconstructed computers, created an LED mural, built bridges, made chemical reactions, experimented with gears and robots, held and studied insects up close, decoded secrets and much more.
This event, held on March 7 in conjunction with Women & Hi Tech, is geared toward girls ages 7-12 and the goal is to encourage girls to discover and pursue their curiosity in the male-dominated fields of science, technology, engineering, math, chemistry, biology, computer science, manufacturing and more. Boys, of course, were also invited. This is the second year for this STEM event.
