What do you get when you combine 20 tons of top soil with 20,000 gallons of water? Mud Day! Hundreds of kids and their parents showed up to wallow in the mud during the annual free event at Cyntheanne South park on July 12. Town Manager Scott Fadness says it’s a very unique event.

“Actually the Parks Dept. staff came up with this idea. It doesn’t cost a lot of money. The Public Works Dept. gets it all set up and it’s just a unique opportunity. Most kids don’t get to do this anymore and they come out in droves.”

Across town, it was Pet Day at the Fishers Farmer’s Market at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater. The Fishers Chamber of Commerce sponsors the weekly market from 8 a.m. to noon.
