Obituary: Willard Turner

Willard Turner, 82, of Noblesville died on Dec.29, 2013 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. Born Dec. 1, 1931 in Pennington Gap, Va., he was the son of William and Eva (Davis) Turner.

Turner was retired from the Pendleton Reformatory and also had been a bartender at the Noblesville American Legion, where he had been a lifetime member. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army and had been a member of the Landmark Quartet and the Friendship Quartet for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Turner; son, Chris (Kristin) Turner; daughters, Rhonda (David) Barker, Debbie (Wayne) Thomas, Cathy Seymour and Melissa (Barry) Fleenor; brother, Burlin Turner; sister, Carrie Justice; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Tim Turner; and daughter, Mitzi Hoffman.

Funeral services were held Jan. 2 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. Burial followed at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
