Inventory tightening, prices climbing

With 2,788 sales in April in Central Indiana, overall year-to-date home sales are up 16.6 percent compared to this time last year, according to statistics compiled by F.C. Tucker Co.

Hamilton County is among the areas seeing a noticeable uptick in the housing market:

The pace of home sales surged in the first quarter. Sales associates are seeing a notable shift in buying habits as the number of desirable homes on the market tightens and prices begin to climb.
