Mr. Westfield

Westfield High School students Stephen Curry, Blake Waters, Jacob Tebbe, Cesar Briceno, Ulises Gamez, Caleb Cartmel, Graham Martin and Grant Plumer recently competed for the title of Mr. Westfield. The male beauty pageant also served as a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, which the school raised $1,450 for. Tebbe was named Mr. Westfield and Gamez earned Mr. Congeniality. The opening dance to Mr. Westfield. All eight contestants show their moves in a mix-up of songs; in this photo it is Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies.” (Stephen Curry, Blake Waters, Jacob Tebbe, Cesar Briceno, Ulises Gamez, Caleb Cartmel, Graham Martin, and Grant Plumer.)

Stephen Curry as he is introduced as a Mr. Westfield candidate.

Jacob Tebbe comes out with a giant fur coat and a fake butt to impress the ladies and the judges.

Cesar Briceno comes out with a fanny pack full of money to buy the audience his vote for Mr. Westfield; it was all in good fun though.

Graham Martin comes out as casual as ever and practices his golf swing.

Class President Steven Johnson with his “body guards” Jule Vixen, Christy Storm, Coco, and Kitty introduce the candidates for the talent part of the competition.

Up first for the talent was a dance-duo with Graham Martin and Caleb Cartmel. In this shot, Graham is alone on stage talking on the phone to the opening of Brittany Spears’ Toxic.

The lights come up and the two, Graham and Caleb shed their coats and dance with “creative” moves to the rest of the song.

Stephen Curry writes his own poetry, for his talent he read us three of his latest works.

Blake Waters gave us funny stories about his time at WHS for his talent; he had the whole crowd laughing with his baseball anecdotes.

Jacob Tebbe gets a “helping hand” for his talent.

First, Jacob practices his dance moves to get a good prom date, but then he moves into personal hygiene and demonstrates his shaving skills.

Grant Plumer performs “Cups” from the motion picture “Pitch Perfect.”

For his talent, Ulises Gamez sings “Follow you Into the Dark” by Death Cab for Cutie and while his friend, Anna Christianson, accompanies him on her ukulele.

The interview part of the show proves to have very interesting answers. Caleb Cartmel takes a moment to think of a good answer for these crazy questions.

This year at Mr. Westfield all the proceeds went to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. In this photo a student with Cystic Fibrosis, Tori Fehr, and her mother talk to us about what the disease is and take donations for the foundation.

Ulises Gamez and Grant Plumer celebrate Ulises’ win of Mr. Congeniality by fist bumping before the announcement of Mr. Westfield.

This year’s winners are Ulises Gamez for Mr. Congeniality and Jacob Tebbe for Mr. Westfield. This is a picture of this year’s winners together.

And the Winner is! Jacob Tebbe was crowned Mr. Westfield 2013.
